Bleeding Art has been doing the special effects for film and television for over 15 years. The company is on for a fourth season doing the effects for CBC TV’s successful Heartland series. It has also recently started its own production arm which has a stop animated short film entitled Skeleton Girl in pre-production, and a number of other projects in development. Other films the company has created the special effects for include Terry Gilliam’s Tideland with Jeff Bridges, Broken Trail with Robert Duvall, Flirting with 40 with Heather Locklear, Screamers II, Badland, Ginger Snaps (the prequel and sequel), The Tommy Douglas Story, Word of Honor with Don Johnson, The Englishman’s Boy, and many others. Alberta’s Workplace Safety and White Iron Productions produced a number of videos targeted at youth in the workplace and Bleeding Art was hired to do all the effects. It was great fun and very impactful. Check out the link below to view these. These were created specifically for the Internet and theatrical release prior to feature films. Over the past few years the company has also naturally progressed into doing prosthetics, creature and character effects for film and TV, live events, and training simulations.
